[Publications alert] The World of Chinese and CSEP
It gives us great pleasure to introduce two recently launched publications where we have contributed a chapter in each.
First is the book chapter titled “ Neighbors but aliens: The struggle for the Communist Party of China’s Party-to-Party diplomacy in Nepal” published at the Center for Social and Economic Progress (CSEP), a think-tank based in India. The overall theme (and title) of the report is “ How China engages South Asia: themes, partners and tools”.
You can read our chapter here. To access the full report and other excellent contributions made by scholars from South Asian countries, please click here.
We are immensely grateful to Dr. Constantino Xavier, Fellow in foreign policy and security studies at CSEP, and Jabin Jacob , Associate Professor on International Relations at Shiv Nadar University, for providing us the platform to share our opinion on party-to-party relations.
Second is the cover story of our work on Life and legends of the Miaoying temple in Beijing at The World of Chinese, South Asia edition. This story is a compilation of the work and translations we have done regarding the life at Miaoying temple in previous blogs: Part 1 , Part 2 , and Part 3 along with a special feature of Premier Zhou Enlai’s written request to preserve the temple during the heyday of Cultural revolution.
We are immensely grateful to Kiran Gautam of Current publications for helping to publish our piece at The World of Chinese. We are glad that the stories of life under Miaoying temple will reach more wider audience across the globe.
Recently, our cover story has also got widespread attention at the Malaysian International Book Fair in May 2023. Below are some of the images of our work on display:
