Recently, the reporter learned from Lhasa Customs that a batch of Nepali golden needle tea was successfully imported at Kerung Port through border trade channels, which is the first time that Nepali tea was imported through land ports in this area.
It is understood that to ensure the smooth import of Nepalese tea, the Kerung Customs Office of Lhasa Customs took the initiative to provide "one-to-one" policy promotion, carried out policy publicity and business training for border residents, and explained the quarantine requirements and import process of imported tea to China. At the same time, communication and negotiation with testing agencies and relevant departments were conducted in advance to open green channels, and achieve "instant inspection". The testing cycle has been reduced by 50% in comparison to that of food samples submitted for inspection in the past. While strictly implementing the "four most stringent" prerequisites for food safety, maximizing the organic integration of efficient supervision and convenience for the masses was considered to improve the sense of gain for border residents.
“We have been looking forward to importing high-quality and low-priced Nepalese tea for a long time, and we are also grateful to the customs staff for their service and help, allowing us to learn more about the policies on imported goods for border trade and mutual trade, which has enabled us to have more and more income-increasing channels. Through the country's border trade policy, we have achieved employment at "doorsteps", and people's lives are getting better and better, and they are more and more hopeful. " Mima Tsering, a border resident in Kerung Town, said.
The person in charge of Kerung Customs, a subsidiary of Lhasa Customs, said that in the next step, they will continue to provide foreign trade services and optimize supervision measures, continue to add "new impetus" to benefit the border residents of the two countries, and help the foreign trade industry enter the "fast lane" of high-quality development.
