[Interview] China: Lost in translation?
Interview for The Kathmandu Post's Idea of Nepal.
How has Nepal-China relations evolved in ancient history? Why is language such an important medium for understanding the relationship dynamics between the two countries? The discourse on China in the world has become more important than ever before, even more for Nepal which sits between two major powers: China and India. As it has been for a long time, language barriers and information barriers have impeded our capability to make robust contributions to scholarship on China studies. We, at The Araniko Project, for the past 2 years, have been on a constant mission to change that through translations of primary sources, research and analysis and advisory work.
Watch the interview where our co-founder Aneka Rebecca Rajbhandari talks on the Idea of Nepal podcast with Chief Editor of The Kathmandu Post, Biswas Baral to answer some of the questions above and other topics on China.
